Itinerary
- Arrive at Entebbe International Airport or Kampala.
- Meet & greet by our professional driver-guide and transfer to your hotel.
- Spend the day at leisure to rest and prepare for the adventure ahead.
- Overnight stay in Entebbe or Kampala.
- Breakfast at your hotel, then drive southwest to Lake Mburo National Park (approx. 4–5 hrs).
- En route, stop at the CTC Conservation Centre – a community-driven initiative supporting wildlife protection and environmental awareness.
At CTC Conservation Centre, expect:
- Guided walk through conservation and education projects.
- Insights into wildlife rescue & human–wildlife coexistence efforts.
- Optional tree planting to support habitat restoration.
- Short interaction with community members.
- Proceed to Lake Mburo National Park, stopping briefly at the Equator for photos and refreshments.
- Afternoon arrival and check-in at the lodge.
- Evening relaxation surrounded by nature’s calm.
- Overnight stay at Lake Mburo.
- Breakfast at the lodge to start your adventure-filled day.
- Morning game drive or guided bike safari – explore acacia woodlands and open plains in search of zebras, giraffes, elands, buffaloes, impalas, and warthogs.
- Lunch at the lakeside restaurant overlooking Lake Mburo.
- Afternoon boat ride on Lake Mburo, spotting hippos, crocodiles, and waterbirds.
- Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
- Breakfast and check-out.
- Scenic drive westward toward Kasese or Queen Elizabeth National Park, depending on accommodation availability.
- Enjoy rolling hills, tea estates, and views of the Rwenzori ranges en route.
- Arrive and relax at your lodge to prepare for marathon day.
- Dinner and overnight stay in Kasese or Queen area.
- Early breakfast and transfer to the marathon starting point.
- Participate in the Annual Rwenzori Marathon – full, half, or fun run categories.
- After finishing, return to the lodge for rest, relaxation, and recovery.
- Dinner and overnight stay at Queen Elizabeth National Park lodge.
- Early morning game drive in Kasenyi plains — lions, elephants, buffalo, kob, and other wildlife.
- Return to the lodge for breakfast and check-out.
- Stop at the Kikorongo Equator Point for a photo opportunity.
- Continue to Kyambura Gorge for a chimpanzee trekking experience or guided nature walk.
- After trekking, begin the return journey to Kampala/Entebbe (approx. 6–7 hrs).
- Arrive at Entebbe International Airport for evening departure.
