From the roaring Nile rapids of Jinja to the thundering Murchison Falls and the enchanting chimpanzee forests of Kibale.


Itinerary

  • Early morning pick-up from Kampala or Entebbe and transfer eastwards to Jinja, Uganda’s adventure capital where the Nile begins its journey north.
  • Proceed for an unforgettable white-water rafting experience (Grade 3–5 rapids) — an essential adventure for thrill seekers.
  • Optional experiences (time and preference permitting):
  • Bungee jumping over the Nile.
  • Zip lining through the riverside forest canopy.
  • Nile tubing or water biking for a lighter adventure.

After RAFTING

  • Lunch by the riverside after rafting.
  • Evening relaxation at your lodge overlooking the Nile.
  • Overnight: Nile Front Cottages / 2Friends Guesthouse / Haven Lodge Jinja.

  • Breakfast at the lodge.
  • Depart northwards via Kampala towards Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
  • Enjoy a guided rhino tracking experience on foot (approx. 2 hours) with trained rangers — a rare chance to see Uganda’s only rhinos in the wild.
  • Proceed to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest protected area.
  • Check in at your lodge and relax for the evening.
  • Overnight: Paraa Safari Lodge / Pakuba Safari Lodge / Fort Murchison.

  • Early breakfast at the lodge.
  • Depart for a morning game drive across the northern plains — look out for lions, giraffes, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and Uganda kob among the savannah grasslands.
  • Return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch.
  • Afternoon boat cruise on the Nile to the base of the spectacular Murchison Falls, spotting hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife along the way.
  • Optional short drive or hike to the Top of the Falls for stunning views where the Nile explodes through a 7m gorge.
  • Overnight: Paraa Safari Lodge / Pakuba Safari Lodge / Fort Murchison.

  • Breakfast at the lodge, then begin your scenic drive southwest through the Albertine Rift Valley.
  • Enjoy stopovers for photographs, local snacks, or crater lake viewpoints along the way.
  • Arrive in Kibale Forest National Park, home to one of Africa’s densest populations of chimpanzees.
  • Evening relaxation at your lodge.
  • Overnight: Chimpanzee Forest Lodge / Turaco Treetops / Isunga Lodge.

  • Breakfast at the lodge.
  • Head to the park offices for your chimpanzee trekking adventure with Uganda Wildlife Authority guides — enjoy close encounters with these intelligent primates and other forest residents.
  • Return for lunch at the lodge.
  • Afternoon visit to the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-run conservation area renowned for its rich birdlife and swamp-dwelling mammals.
  • Optional: Visit nearby crater lakes or local cultural sites before dinner.
  • Overnight: Chimpanzee Forest Lodge / Turaco Treetops / Isunga Lodge.

  • Breakfast at the lodge.
  • Begin your return journey, exiting the park via Kamwenge, with scenic countryside views and optional brief stops along the way.
  • Continue towards Kampala or Entebbe for evening drop-off.
